On My Dev Site I have an attempt at a Chronicles theme. Still could do with some work, though.

the XOOPS theme here on this site called gold is similar in layout i think. a exchanging of colors and background images may be all that needs, but not sure.

Doesnt seem you have the chronicles theme that you have started availale for download on your site. Can you post the files to be downloaded?
