Should index.html,be in the template folder

I uploaded and theme template and everything was runinng fine before I did and after I did this file ---{{{index.html}}} was in and under my template file with my templates. is this file supose to be there and if not can I delte it?

One more thing I got the index.html file in the public foler and in teh template folder .

You will notice an index.html file in most folders in Xoops. That is a security measure so if someone accesses you folder on your server directly he will be redirected back to the homepage. Not a good idea to delete those.

Cuase my site went blank after I uploaded the template??

Just remove the one in the public folder. Save it on your local computer first then delete, and see what happens.

I did that and it open up when you go to the link now peopel can see my parent directory with everything in my files???help!!
