Imago06 AND banners

Hi
I downloaded imago06 to test it locally. A very slick theme.

2 quick questions -

1. I couldn't seem to get banners to work. Is that just me - or is there some additional work I need to do, to make banners work.

2. I had a look on their home page, wto see if I could locate an answer for above. But without luck. It raised a question in my mind - is this theme free - license information wasn't available. Should I assume all themes are free?

Thanks for your help.

Basil

I havn't used that theme so couldn't answer but all themes should be free unless they are custom done.

The theme is free.
However you will have to add support for banners yourself as this is not included.

I'll look up the code to include in the theme when I get back home

There aren't any banner in Imago06 themes.

You'll need to select an area where you want the banner to be in the theme.html file and add the following code

<div style="text-align: center; padding-top: 0px;"><{$xoops_banner}>div>

Thanx all.
Chainsaw, I followed your instructions, and tried to insert the banner where the head_left.gif is (which is on the right BTW.
I used your code - but the head_left.gif still apears, even though it doesn't appear in the theme.html coding.

I looked in some other themes, and there were banner ids - do they need to be written into the .css for this theme?

You can tell I haven't played with themes before I'm sure.

This may explain whats'going on - I also changed to logo. Resampled my own logo to 91 X 77, and entered values into theme.html. But, the image appears distorted, and when you right click, it says the image is 222 X 79.

I'm obviously overlooking something quite major?

Cheers

Did you set this to on in your System Admin, General Settings?

"Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?"

Your theme files should be like this

<table class="head_table" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
  <
tr
    <
td class="head_logo"><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/"><img name="logo" src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/logo.gif" width="222" height="79" border="0" alt="IMAGO:THEMES">a>td>
    <
td><div style="text-align: center; padding-top: 0px;"><{$xoops_banner}>div>td>
  tr>
  <
tr
    <
td colspan="2" class="head_bar">td>
  tr>
table>
