new and wanting some information

i am looking into using XOOPS on my site. i was wondering if it would be possible to intergrate an invboard so that new posts from the board will show up in a new topics block.

or is there a way that i can transfer information from my invboard database to XOOPS bb.

there's a IPB module for XOOPS with a converter script to convert from ipb standalone to XOOPS IPB..

there are 2 versions.. X-IPBM 1.4F which is based on IPB 1.3.1 (Free)

and there's also X-IPBM V2.0 which is based on IPB 2.0.3 (this version is not free though and u need to purchase a license and software from invision 1st)

make sure to download the X-IPB 1.4F core update for 2.0.9.2 aswell if ur using XOOPS 2.0.9.2 as 1.4F is for XOOPS 2.0.7.3

check my profile over there and view my topics/posts to find a lot of mods aswell etc (same name over there as this name here..

please bear with my momma brain.

after searching and reading and this that and the other i want to make sure i understand everything.

the ipb board i run is the free version. (not sure the number but isn't a 2.0) i can still port it right?

however i also got the impression that i can convert it to the newbb that came with the xoops. is that correct? i would like to do that as i know i will not pay for the 2.0 ipb.

Install newbb 2.0.2 final
