Hi,

Welcome to Xoops.
With the search available on this site (on your right) type the following words to find the solution (look in the XOOPS Faq for example) :
norton firewall

Bye,
Hervé

Install Browser Check on your site (you could place it in a subdirectory "bcheck" of your XOOPS directory), have the people who are having the problem report which tests fail, and post those results here.

in the faq it says that the users will have to add my site to "trusted" ... but seriously no one will do that. they want to browse the site and they dont want to add a unknown site to "trusted"

i installed brwoser check.
my results.

Quote:
Referrer-H The URL of the referring page can be read. (host name) FAIL

Referrer-HS The URL of the referring page can be read. (host name + script name) FAIL

Referrer-HSQ The URL of the referring page can be read. (host name + script name + query string) FAIL

lol it`s exactly the same here... it says with norton "could not insert forum post"

the release of world of warcraft is on feb.11 in europe wahhhhh

Still in the XOOPS Faq, you will find something to deactivate the referer check. Search for this.

If you're willing to reduce your site's security slightly, you could use this hack to disable the HTTP_REFERER check.

edit

Thanks, I forgot it was in the FAQ: https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=310
