is used for the "Welcome to the Official XOOPS website!" I have been trying to find one and downloaded a bunch of stuff.

I work for a k-12 school district and have used XOOPS before. What I need is something like mentioned above that will allow only one person to edit that page (the district administrator). This would be on the Top Page. I also have a principal that would probably want to do the same thing. I would like them to login in, go to the specific module to edit the code (preferably in WYSIWYG). Only those specific people would be able to use that module for their area. Anything like this available for download?

Thanks, Corey

the welcome block on xoops.org is just a custom block i think..

go into admin and click on system module, then select blocks.

but you wouldn't be able to set permissions for editing using that method..

You mean like what I've done with my website?

My church pastor updates the WFS-channel index page and it is displayed on the home page using a php-block.

I've posted in this thread what I've done.

Yup that is it, but I don't know what WFS is and am I suppose to create a new block in the admin area and just copy the code (change the username/password & database name)?

As for the Welcome Block, it isn't installed on my installation. Did a search on XOOPS also for Welcome block, didn't see anything.

Thanks for your help.

WFS-Channel is a module that you can download from the module repository.

All my static pages eg About Us, Our Vision etc are done on WFS-Channel.

You need to install it first, then create a PHP Block containing that code which refers to the correct record.
