Getting wfdownloads to work with AMS

Has anyone got wfdownloads to work with AMS? It would be nice if wfdownloads checked to see if you had either one installed. If you chose to use AMS instead of the default news module. I think it could be done with an if statement. But my main question has to do with whether anyone has been able to get wfdownloads to work with AMS, and if so, how.

Thanks for your help,

I don't actually use WF-Downloads, so I might have missed something here. What do you mean by "get wfdownloads to work with AMS"?

In wfdownloads you can cause it to post a news item when you post something to the wfdownloads module. It works with the news module, but Im missing something when it comes to getting it to work with AMS. Which is, in a sense a fork of the news module. I am basically going through the code, and changing anything that refers to the news module, to point to the AMS module. I was just curious as to if anyone tried this before.

Re: Getting wfdownloads to work with AMS

I'll check this weekend but in the wfdownloads directory there should be a file that is similar to posttonews, php in newbb2. I have that file converted to work with AMS. Just need to find the similar file in wfdownloads and edit it to work with AMS.
