Hello!!
This XOOPS is awesome!! Really am enjoying learning how to set up the different modules.

My question is:

I have found several sites using XOOPS that don't require a login or registration for a visitor. How do you set that up? And if that is done, how do you get to the admin panel?

if you do not need to have membership base you could just disable the registration in the admin panel...and remove the block for login...

but you must give access to the visitors for the modules..(goto admin panel and edit group)......if not they will not able to access any modules.

you can still access the login page by user.php.

Remember to read the hack info. This hack is insecure, so if security is a concern, you might want either use the last suggestion or just wait to see if XOOPS includes that feature in a future release.

In admin->system->user info settings you can set "allow new user registration" to "no". Then turn off the login block.

For you to administer your site you go directly to the user.php page to login. Then you can either type in the admin.php page, or make the user menu block visible to webmaster group only (which is how I do it).
