Please Point me at the following setting...

Trying to change the color of text in blocks... even added code in actual text block and it still gets overridden I gues by the style sheet in the theme directory, but I can't figure out which line is the default color for the text in the body of a block?

In the documentation site official documents, you will see the anatomy of a default theme. There is some detailed info in there. Also in the FAQs here, look in the All about themes section.

It's not an instant answer, but that's where I would look to find out
