For the original question:
Yes there will be a new version of wf-downloads. However i am not going to do any promises on the date as naturally every time i said something in the past i was proven wrong.
The next version will contain some bugfixes and 1 or 2 (maybe even 3) new features. While it has been proven working well for some time with a real userbase there are some issues i would very much like to see remedied before we release that one. As usual it comes down to the amount of time thats available ...
