I am trying to build a web site for my family for Christmas. My object is to give everybody their own website that they can modify on their own and that are all linked together. So people could post news that every one could see or that would only be viewed when someone went to their page.

Same thing with calendars, global, user site only, or user only (for personal reminders).

Same thing for Photo Album, global, user site only, or password access only.

I also want to use xt_conteudo to allow each user to manage web pages in their own directory (name1.url.com) while I control the overall page (http://www.url.com).

Users should also be able to choose their own themes. It would be best if they could even upload their own themes.

So I have installed XOOPS and have all the components installed but I can't really figure out how to get it to be multi-user compatible. Is there a module that I can download to implement this functionality?

What would be the best gallery, calendar, news module to use to get this multi-user capability? Are there any hacks out there that add this functionality?

I know it is off topic, but I'm wondering if it might have been better to go with PostNuke or another CMS. Does anyone have an experience?

so far.. its out of XOOPS reach.
Only way now is you host XOOPS in your site
then use a module called wfsection. create some categories.
and they are able to build their own pages.

thats the only way for current XOOPS i guess.
