Anyway, here are some messages from my mail server (mercury mail) when XOOPS tries to use it in SMTPAuth mode to send a contact email from the Contact form.
This email has a few lines and should be at least a few bytes.

When I try to send a test message using Outlook, here're the messages on my mail server:

Obviously, the mail server is working correctly, XOOPS is just not sending any data!

Is there something I can check in my XOOPS setup?

After upgrading to XOOPS 2.0.9 beta and now to 2.0.9.2, the mail problem has mysteriously disappeared.
It's troubling to not know what's going on, but I'm happy to have a working mail system.
