Hi there,

I have a Windows 2000 workstation (fully patched), apache 2.0.52 (working), with PHP 5 (working), & MySQL 4 (working).
I copied the html portion of XOOPS to my htdocs folder of my apache server. When I open up my domain in a web browser, it shows a listing of the files in that directory, it doesn't go straight to the XOOPS install wizard. If I point my browser to: www.mydomain.com/admin.php, it gets redirected automatically to: www.mydomain.com/install/index.php. The main webpage for the wizard displays - "Welcome to the Install Wizard for XOOPS 2.0". English is the only choice in the drop down box. When I click Next, the page doesn't go anywhere. The main page seems to reload.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help.

there's a gr8 tool called search on this site where you'll find ur answers.. also check the FAQ section..

but in quick, XOOPS 2.0.7.3 is NOT compatible with php 5, i would suggest changing to either php 4.3.9 or install XOOPS 2.0.9 Beta

but remember the 2.0.9 version is Beta and shudn't really be used for production sites..

That worked! I downloaded the beta version. My install isn't a production install anyway.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Cheers

I am able to run through the XOOPS install wizard to the end but I'm unable to bring up XOOPS after the install. When I try - www.mydomain.com, it brings up a directory listing again. The MySQL version I've installed is 4.0.22.

Any more good ideas?

Thanks again.

yes they are compatible, as long as u use XOOPS 2.0.9 with php 5 and not 2.0.7.3.

check your mainfile.php, that your paths are set correctly.

Check apache2/conf/httpd.conf

DirectoryIndex should include an index.php

Just a thought
