I think I've seen something like it before on another site. But I'm looking for something where they earn fake $ (forum money) and can spend it on forum stuff. Stuff like changing their name, locking a topic, and things like that.

An RPG module would be cool. Especially if it came with it. Battling forum members and leveling up you character is usually pretty fun.

I just think it gives users a more of reason to post.

Do you mean like the phpbb bank and pet/shop mod? Where a user posts, gets money and can buy stuff like you said?

If so I also think this would be a great module

There's a PHP script called Phaos (browser based RPG) that could be ported to Xoops.

It's at this URL and is quite nice - includes chat, graphical representation of characters, etc. It's worth registering (no email confirmation so really quick) just so you can see its functions. I think it's really nice.

I've asked to the dev of a IB mod (IBRpg) if I can port his work to Xoops.
The reply was.. YES. >
Someone want join the project (I'm thinking about a module for Xoops, not simply an addon for NewBB)?
