I would like to know if there exists a library module which allows to give author name, editor, year, ... What I have found just give the possibility to include author, where to buy and comments.

At the moment there isn't one. That is why I am busy in rewriting (it is a very simple nasty code rewrite-build/hacking of) the wfdownloads module into a very simple wfbooks module. You can expect something similar as the addresses1.7 module, but with the looks similar as the wfdownloads. (kind of cloning with small adjustments)
As soon as I've finished it I'll let you know.
Please don't expect a fancy extended books module. It will do the job the way I can use it on my new xoopssite.
