Just started to explore Xoops. Image manager is great, but I am dismayed to find no ALT text field. We are under constant pressure to develop sites that are accessible. Without ALT text, our XOOPS sites will fail.

I can see that we can add ALT text manually using HTML, but can't expect an end user to do this in every article. Is there a hack, or an alternative image manager?.

No, there isn't an alternative imagemanager, but we're going to add the ALT (and title) tags to the images soon. But since this requires a db change (extra fields), we might not release this untill XOOPS 2.2 (or 2.1 if you want the developers version).
