Viewing The Forum in Flat Format

Hi there.

Recently set up a site using XOOPS and would like to know if it is possible for the forum to be viewed automatically in the 'flat' view everytime someone logs on? There is an option to change it to the 'flat' view but it reverts back to the 'branched' view once you enter another forum.

Is there anyway of making it so that the forums are always displayed in the 'flat' view?

Your help would be much appreciated.

System Admin --> General Preferences --> Default Comment Display Mode --> Set to 'Flat' instead of 'Nested'.

That should set it as default for all users, but registered users can, if they wish, set it to Nested again in their user profile.

BTW - this has been asked many times in these forums - I know because I asked it myself once

. We can read here....no honest we can

. Anyway, Flat view is defined in two places (three if your using NewBB 2). Firstly is in the general preferences area of the main Admin panel, and the other is in your personal account settings which can be set by clicking the "Edit Account" link in the user menu.
