I wanted to know if I will be able to design my XOOPS base site locally and publish all content for a public site (xoops base) hosted by my web hosting provider. Currently I do my updates the standard way which is actually login in an making changes through the CMS.

Thank you much

As long as your site is not live at your webhost then you should be able to do this. You'll need to edit your mainfile.php, and set permissions to reflect the new environment once you upload it to your webhost though.

Does this simply mean changing the permission to the mainfile.php file? Are there things that should match on bothsides like database name and user name and passowrd. I am assuming I will just copy all XOOPS files over through ftp.
