how do I remove top banner and footer in news module section

Hi!
How can I remove the header with that noisy XOOPS banner and the footer with "powered by" logo? I need that only news to appear. Middle part. No header/footer stuff.

You can turn the banners off under system => preferences => general, and remove the footer info under preferences => meta tags & footer.

If you really want to remove the whole shebang take a look at commenting or pulling stuff out of the theme.html file for your theme, but maybe that would do something horrible, not sure.

Still Using Version 2, older one :( I have made a whole bunch of new banners but the ugly XOOPS graphic/link is in my way.

does this have to stay - or is their permission to remove it?? im not sure because you can remove it under prefrences in admin section... but most cms make sure you keep it there. Thanks, crev1sss

If XOOPS is ugly why use it?

How did you make,more, what,where? If you are talking about XOOPS logo just update to your own logo in xoops_directory/images/logo.gif

or edit your theme and remove or update xoopslogo to not show up. Remove or edit this line or similar line to match your needs. Seeing you don't actually search one more thing clear templates_c directory after you do changes.

yes you can remove it or change it, XOOPS falls under GPL
