xcgal upload Problems

Version XOOPS 2.0.7.3
xcgallery Upload problems:

Neither I or any of my members can upload pictures.

Starting from scratch I can access already uploaded pictures to the server, by using Batch add Pictures option in the adminstration panel. This was a great option by the way.

After I put the site up immediatlely I've been getting mass amounts of email stating the photo gallery doesn't work, they can create albums but can't upload pictures, it gives an error that says immmpossible to move photo to user pics/album and then after when they try to access the album they created it says the album doesn't exist.

I'd really like to figure it out as the gallery is a nice touch, I know I have already read that the e-card function doesn't work... too bad it's such a great option, I reaaly Really wish that would work too but oh well !! Can't get everything I guess.

XOOPS- Great work on this portal system I and my family love it.

it seems u dont set the group permission for this module.
go to amdin and set all these at "group manager"

All group permissions are ok and also main XOOPS members permissions have access to gallery rights, I syncronized members also in gallery and have yes on everything in groups for gallery.

I have also tried both ways for permission to upload on and off ...

Try uplod picture and....

Impossible to move jpg to albums/userpics/10001/!

u need to chmod 777 the folders Albums & Albums/userpics

the reason for the error seems that it can't either create the user album folder or it can't write the images to the folder..

yep as above I had same problem set chmod to 777

The folders were cmod'd to 777 as I followed on setup I deselected them all and tried to make sure they were actually being cmodded at all and it didn't work ... then changed cmod back to 777 on albums and album/userpics...still bringing back the same error.

Almost a losing cause I'm thinking ... is there a safe mode of some sort somewhere?

Don't think an upgrade would help my problem would it

Or maybe I should not wipe site and start over but reinstall it somehow to set everything back to default

any thoughts?

What folders should only be cmodded 777 and what is every other folder chmoded too?
