I have my database backuped. (phpmyadmin)

I've used XOOPS 2.0.5.

Now i want to change my hosting and upgrade my site and move the site.

1)I will upload the files of the latest version of XOOPS to my new hosting?
2)i have zipped database file , how can i install backuped database?

3)are these enough for moving? what can i do? what must i do?

hi yurtlar

Try this:

1. Go to admin panel and deactivate your site.

2. Copy all the files from your old server to the new one.

3. Make a DB back up

4. Make a new empty DB at your new host and import(dump) your back up into.

5. Now open your "mainfile.php" and update It with the new data (URL, path, mySql, user, password and db name).

You?re done

Don?t forget to check the permissions again (CHMOD)because they tend to change sometimes.

After a final check reactivate your site and....voilá....point your browser to www.yoursite.com

Hope this could be useful to you as was for me.

Regards,
Wilson
