I work on a security groups website.

They orginally wanted a photogallery for private use, and after looking around I decided on "my Album".

They then requested a gallery for public use, but wanted to keep the private one. So I tried to fiddle about with "my album" so I could set up a public catagory as wells as having a private one. This could not be done.

So without looking into it (the furom search being down and all) I just uploaded a second gallery modual "XCGallery" to be a public gallery. And guess what now "My Album" doesn't work.

Is there a Gallery modual out there where its possible to be able to set up a main private catagory as well as a Public one?

What you are looking for is Galeria.

It allows you to assign individual access/admin rights, for categories, images, etc. exactly what you are looking for.

It can be found right at the top of the G-module repository:

Is there a FAQ or tut for it (the one it links to is no longer valid). Im having some difficulties finding the permissions bit you spoke of as well as uploading pictures.

I don't believe there is a tut or something for the module, but it is actuall a port of Gallery.

Maybe their docs help you a little.

The module is a little strange to get used to.
You just need to enter the galleri via you main menu (not in the administration section), set up a category, and then you will be able to set the permissions for it.

I go into the galeria menu (via administration menu) and got to catagory. I enter name and press save. page refreshes and says its updating, I then get this
