I'm having a problem with access to the newbb2 forums.

I am the webmaster/owner of the site. I followed all the installation instructions and got everything working. Set all the permissions, both global and forums permissions.

But I'm stuck. Right now, I have my site turned off to make updates. When I click on the forums link, it takes me back to the login page that you see when a site is turned off.

Secondly, when I turn the site back on briefly, I don't see any categories or forums at all. I see the number of posts, but nothing else.

What did I do wrong? If someone online now can help, I'd sure appreciate it.

do u update templates?
go to admin --> template and generate all templates if u have a custom template.

I still have an issue about being able to view the forums when the site is turned off. Any ideas?

turn off the site dows not related to access to forums.
i cant understand problem.

For some reason - I don't think it's recognizing me as the administrator. For example, in the "Who's ONline" block for the forums, I show up as moderator, not administrator.

That's the only thing I can think of at this point.
