Question: There are a bunch of default modules that come with the XOOPS package. These include newbb, news, xoopspartners, mylinks, etc. Are updates to these modules shipped together with the XOOPS package or must I go in search for updates to those myself? If so, can someone tell me where to find these updates and what the latest versions are?

Whatever version of XOOPS you install, you will get the latest official released modules with the package. That does not mean there are no updates available, but these may only be in beta or RC. The only one im aware of that needs updating is the news module. Better still dont install the version in the pack and search for XOOPS2_mod_news_1_2_1_RC2 here. Install this instead.
