Problems with Permissions in Downloads, News and Links

Hi!

I have a problem with the Permissions in three Modules...

I've created an additional Group, so I have 4 groups

Administrators, Colaborators, Registered and Anonymous users....

I want to give access to Download and Link module to ALL the Groups....

But I only want that Colaborators and Administratos being able to send contributions to this modules...

But the contributions done by Colaborators, I don't want that they access to the Administration menu... I want that they can do it in the main menu... with the opcions Send a News, Send a File, or Send a Link.... but neither of the other options appearing there...

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.7.3 with the latest News and the standard Downloads and Links module....

Any tip ???
Can you help me please ???

Tips 1:

Setup well and understand well about the group permission and module accesses at the system menu > group


Tips 2:

Lots of modification in the modules templates.

Can't help you much, I never try to do that. I'm working on another project now. Sry

I have the same problem with the permissions in "news" and "sections" module. We have not till now an answer for this very serious problem.

If this thing will continue I'l change platform.

That's a great problem for me...

Hi,

With the news module version 1.2.1, you can, inside the module, give to some groups only the permission to post news.

Thanks alot !!!!!!

I installed News v1.21 some days ago, but I had not seen this option...

Now I've activated this option and works very fine !!!!!!!!

Thanks again !!!

Now, I only have the problem with links and downloads, that the solutions would be the same... but those modules doesn't have that option....

ok, i hope this resolves your problem. Under the news submit/approve permission you can give access to your news & etc...
