First of all thanks for the wonderful software.
I have just now installed XOOPS 2.7.1 and wanted to install some extra modules. I havee searched thru downloads and found too many of them.. I am not sure if most of them work with the latest one

Can someone tell me the best third party modules working with 2.0.7.1?(I am too lazy and donot want try all the modules for same purpose.. I just want to use the best ones ..)

Articles module with WYSIWYG user submission
Photo Gallery -user submission
Calendar module -user submission
Review module -user submission
Media module to display media files
Upload Module -users to upload files
Module for making static HTML pages.
Chat module
Games module

I think I asked too many questions ...I just wanted to know which modules the users are using for their sites..

The more you try, the more you learn, especially in the World of XOOPS, (no pun intended).

For article Management, try soapbox and wf-sections.
For a photo gallery, try XOOPS gallery, or xcgallery
For a Calendar mod, tri iCal, or AgendaX

Guess what, I'm lazy too, so your going to have to go hunt down the rest. It will serve you well to look up what you need through the search feature here on the site. The forums are chock full of posts, in fact there are over 105,000 threads in this topic alone. A plethora of information awaits you at your finger tips, and it's free!

Suit up and dive in, you're in for a heck of a ride. I think you will find XOOPS very adaptable to all your needs and soon you will know more about the system then you can shake a stick at.
