Just done a clean install of 2.0.7.1 There are some funny probelms though. I had a correct install sequence with do problems indicated, but now I have this on my home page

PHPdebug shows---

Another thing. Admin notice tells me to make my mainfile.php 444 but when I do this it resolves back to 644 by itself.

What can be the problem please

1) upload XOOPS files again (maybe download the archive again and use those)

2) 444/644: If you can´t change the permission properly you have to verify if the correct owner for files and directories is given. If not contact your hoster

Um... Are you trying to install a clean copy of XOOPS from the 2.0.7.1 file that is available on this site and Sourceforge?

If you are, it will never work. You have to install v 2.0.7 first. There is no 2.0.7.1 full package available. It's just an update.

Try installing 2.0.7 first, then upload the 2.0.7.1 files. When prompted to overwrite the original files, click Yes.
