Except for the CDBase module - the designer of which has vanished - is there ANY decent XOOPS discography module?

I've been using WF-Sections to do a simple one, and I think it may do the job nicely - but something like CDBase would be a little easier perhaps.

Is CDBase stable enough to use - despite not having many features? I don't need too many disks - just to be able to search, list tracks, be able to link to lyrics etc?

In my case, CDBASE was perfect (just needs some info fields I could add myself) except that I would have to repeat tracks twice if they're in more than 1 disc and waste space on DB...

Since I don't know PHP I couldn't add this feature.

There are many features I'd like to have in a module, but the basic ones are okay as they're enough to keep a clean and organized DB.

I've started using it - but decided not to bother with the lyrics - but to link that to WF-Sections instead.

I'm going to see if I can re-use other elements also - perhaps the buy link to a forum link for example - even though that would have to be added by hand....

I'm just concerned that the module may not be stable :(

I couldn't contact the author anymore, but someone reported he closed the site. I last visited it about 2 months ago and it was working but with no updates.

Now the author is either active and working on it (as he said he was gonna start doing a new version of it more than 6 months ago) or he closed his site and stopped the project forever...

Using Cd base often causes the script to cash ('Could not add data'). I have found that changing the integer (tinyint) to simply 'int' in the sqlfile helps.

Timyint = Integer (whole number) data from 0 through 255. Storage size is 1 byte.

Int = Integer (whole number) data from -2^31 (-2,147,483,648) through 2^31 - 1 (2,147,483,647). Storage size is 4 bytes.

Well anyways ... this did the trick in my case
