XFsection questions

Hi

I'm usin xf sections for managing content on my site.
I have two questions:
1) I have lots of categories and subcategories. How could I display recent articles and archives for each category seperately?
2)Is it possible to use two instances of xfsections?

I'm not sure with that particular module. However, I did the exact same thing with the myAlbum module. All I did was install the first instance of it, then copy a new install of the module in a second folder called myalbum2 (obviously in the 'modules' folder). Then go to System Admin\Modules, and you will see another uninstalled copy of the module, so just install it.

Like I say, it worked a treat with myAlbum - cannot say for sure with the module you refer to.

Glad that worked for you.

What do you mean by 'What about recent articles blocks for different categories?'. Are you asking about the module itself or generally?

If its generally, then you can add recet news articles etc on your homepage or wherever you like combined with other blocks. See the Blocks menu in System Admin.

I am assuming however you are referring to something else, probably to do with the news articles of your module? If so I'm afraid I cannot help - I have never used it.

Hi
Having a 'recent articles' blocks for different categories is exactly what I need too. Using Xfsection 1.10
I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know the code to just show certain categories in the list of recent articles?

Or is there a different module that will do it?
