SHOW sql-statements

How do you configure XOOPS to accept SHOW sql-statements? for example 'SHOW fields from xoops_image'. Here is the error message I get:
SHOW FIELDS FROM xoops_image
Error number: 0
Error message: Action not allowed

I am useing XOOPS version 2.0.7

That depends on a number of things. 1st: is your database user allowed to execute that command? 2nd: how exactly are you trying to use that query?
