Hi XOOPS users,

I am looking for a simple (and simple to use) CMS that would generate stand-alone HTML pages (not website) that we can use for promotions and e-mail newsletters (gallery-type page to display offers). Of course I would like to be able to modify the templates.

Another important point is that we would like to have our webserver externally - so I suppose I need a sort of online editor to access the files on the server.

Do you think XOOPS is suitable for this? I would be greatful for any advice.

Not really. If I'm reading your wishes correctly, you're looking for a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver. XOOPS is a server-side portal script for dynakic, database driven websites.

It looks like you want something like "CMS Made Simple" It creates static pages and uses a basic templating system.

Otherwise, try Nvu it is a free open source HTML editor with some website management/publishing tools built-in.
