Weird Module Installation Problem

There are two of us who are webmasters. I have no problem installing modules, but the other guy gets these messages :

"Installing Polls"

"Unable to install xoopspoll. Error(s):"
"Unable to write to main menu."
"Back to Module Administration page"

Any ideas why I can and he can't?

Make sure he as his CACHE folder set to 777 (not read only) and that the file "adminmenu.php" in that folder is set to at least 666 (also, not read only).
