Does anyone know how I can setup the site's users so that they can edit anything they have posted, but not edit/delete someone else's?
The group permissions only seem to offer straight Access rights or Admin rights. and I don't want to give users full admin rights just to be able change something they posted.

Is there a hack out there for it?

thanks

Posting and editing rights are not controlled by the XOOPS core, but by the individual modules.

So it depends on the module.

OK.
The modules I am trying to give self-editing permissions to are the default XOOPS News module, xcGallery, xfSection.

Would like to not lose content, so changing to different module that offers this is not an option? Maybe there is a hack for the above modules?

Thanks for any help

Hi,

For the News module, I think that it could be useful to have a new option "Allow authors to modify their posts".

Please submit it here :

Bye,
Hervé
