Hi all,

question about the core module News.

When a user clicks on "Submit News", they get the form to type in their news item.

But, they dont get the extended area which shows up when you click "read more". Only admin can add extended text to the initial post.

How do I enable users to submit news including the extended text area?

Hi,

Welcome to Xoops.
You should update your news module to the latest version (1.2).
In this version, you can create groups of "aprovers". People in this group can fill ALL the fields.
You can find the module here :
