Putting the WHOLE news article in Top page

Hi All,
I am trying to put the whole news article in the home page. I enabled the Recent News and put it to center in my top page, but it only shows the title.

How do I show the whole article(s)?

You can do that by setting the news module as your default start page (in general preferences).

Or by installing the "Spotlight" module.

but if i set News as the default, i can't have a welcome block any more, right?

Let me clarify...How do I get my site's front page to look like the XOOPS front page?? All I want is to be able to put a welcome block and news articles on the front page. Right now, enabling the "recent news" block only puts topics. And when I set the News block to open as default, there is no option to put a welcome block as well

Hello from a bus in Thailand
You can set news module as default start page, and create a custom welcome block via the System module -> blocks admin and set it to display on the top page. Alternatively you could create a news story that contains your welcome message and use the spotlight module to display that story in a block at the top.
