BBPixel's xphpbb module for XOOPS replaced several XOOPS 2.0.6 files. I've updated those replacements to include the XOOPS 2.0.7 changes.

The module itself has not been touched, no changes made.

This module is currently untested at the moment, although I hope to have a chance to test it tonight. If anyone would like to try it themselves, here's the full package:
http://www.csmapcentral.com/archives/xoops2/X-PBB-Module_1.21E_2.0.7.zip

It's X-PBB 1.21E modified to XOOPS 2.0.7

Can we just copy the files into our XOOPS installation if we're already using newbb? Or do we need to do something else?

I have newbb installed now and already have a bunch of forum posts and replies I don't want to loose. Will this module take those items into account? Does it use the same tables?

I can't continue using newbb so this module looks like a winner for me but I need to keep my posts.

bbpixel is currently down (it would have all files & answers to your questions), but yes, you can copy the files into your current installation

it will not overwrite newbb

it does not use newbb tables

it will not import your newbb data, you'll need a separate importer script for that purpose (from bbpixel, when it comes back online, they're moving hosts right now)

But there is a script to convert from NewBB to PHPBB? I'd be in hog heaven if there was, that's the Forum I prefer and I really need the functions it carries inherantly instead of waiting for NewBB to get anywhere soon.

That's what bd_csmc says... unless someone has the script and can attach it for us ;)

In the hack for auto-logon it states:
Quote:
This hack is not compatible to custom user sessions.
You have to turn "Use custom session" off in admin/preferences/general.
But you have to set the cookie time in admin/preferences/general settings to the number of minutes the cookie will be stored, i.e. "10080" minutes for one week.

This means we can't use this module with the phpbb module can we? Since the phpbb file requires you to have custom session turned ON to function. Right?

correct, but also, you don't need the autologin hack once you install phpbb. phpbb module installs the phpbb session model, so that on login users are able to check a Remember Me box, and aren't forgotten

Hi bd_csmc,
Do you have any info about whether xphpbb is up-to-date regarding all those security fixes that phpBB itself has included from 2.0.5 to 2.0.10?

the last xphpbb release at bbpixel.com was at xphpbb v1.22, which included the 2.0.9 upgrade

at the time of bbpixel going down, 2.0.10 was not yet released, to my knowledge
