need help on changing from xoops default forum to invasion power board

hi everyone,

i need help on changing the present forum to invasion powerboard with backing up of the data.

Is it possible to do so.

Please help me on integrating it

you can download the invisionboard fromhttp://www.bbpixel.com

there you will also find the newbb to ipb converters and ipb original to ipbm converters etc..

it's isn't that complicated to install, but it is slightly different to installing a standard XOOPS module..

Thanks m0nty indeed nice site, i downloaded the hack , but still i need to know that should i upgrade to XOOPS new version then go for the ipb hack..



Also need to know how to back up existing forum details ..

are you trying to integrate invasion into XOOPS / replacing newbb with invasion in XOOPS or totally migrating to invasion ???

just integrating forums and members with ipb so that all members joining the website can use weblinks, invasion board, polls, submit news etc...

i already tested and its working fine just need the old data base of sql to be converted into ipb message boards , so that i can retain my members

for that i need a converter which can convert default XOOPS forum topics and data to ibp forums..

The main thing in ipb is that it displays complete details of a members browsing over the forums..

thanks to m0nty i was able to atleast test them ,

need some one to help me for convertor !!!!!

Requesting newbb developer to add this feature too, its a handy functionality, though it adds up few more queries and takes a bit more of processing time.

i think there's a newbb to ipb converter on the bbpixel site if i'm not mistaken.. this will copy the newbb posts etc to the ipb

backing up your database you can do via phpmyadmin by doing a dump of your database.. or there is a module i think on this site in the downloads section that will do that job aswell either by emailing you the database as a zip file or allowing you to download a zipped dump of the database d.

thanks a lot again , i hav over written the present files and upgraded to invasion power board forums replacing newbb,

also the convertor worked fine

thanks to www.bbpixel.com and m0nty :)

just need to fix up profiles now to invasion power board and a new look.
