I am currently building the member services of my site, www.aka.org, in XOOPS (which is not public yet). Eventually I might rebuild the whole thing, but that's a big project. I would like, in the meantime, to have a login script on he sites home page, which is not Xoops. I am wondering whether anyone has developed a standalone script that can be run from a page external to Xoops, but that logs the user in, so that when they navigate to the actual XOOPS pages, they are already logged in.

I don't know if there's an existing standalone script, but the XOOPS login processing is done by include/checklogin.php, so that's a starting point.
