hi heres my problem, I was updating my newbb to the new version. Then it didn't work so then I uploaded the original files I had and my forum went back to what is was. But when I go to reply, edit or post a new thread under the : All Registered users can post new topics and replies to this forum it comes up with: ¥×¥ì¥Ó¥å¡¼¤ò¼Â¹Ô¤¹¤ë¤ÈÅºÉÕ¥Õ¥¡¥¤¥ëÍó¤Ï¥¯¥ê¥¢¤µ¤ì¤Þ¤¹¡£.

and under the smilie bar it has a place to upload a file. I don't want these though. So what file would I edit to get rid of these?

i think the problem is change encoding
back up table ( i cant remember what name but table that store title of posts )and open file then change encoding to correct that

I've had a similar problem with an impossible series of characters. I found the problem in a language file I think: you can try to solve it changing the Japanese text. It worked for me.
