Hey all,

Dl'ed XOOPS on Monday got it all installed in working in an hour (with no coding experience) so let me start by saying that it is working great so far.

I seem to recall seeing a notice about a new version coming out soon so my question is this, should I start to populate my community with links and articles now or should I just wait a bit to avoid having to redo all this work later (I have several hundred links and many public domain articles to be included on the site).

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to be asking but it seemed to make the most sense here.

Also if I should wait, is there an anticipated release window (ie 2-4 weeks, not an exact date).

This forum is fine for these kinds of questions.

It will not be long before a new version of XOOPS is out in a full release, but this will not make an impact on the modules, you have installed (except that some may actually work )

Some modules are also on the verge of being updated, but will hopefully include upgrade scripts for easy upgrade so you will not lose data because of it.
