Program has been up and running very good for about 2/3 weeks now.
Lost database last night and had to restore it.
Could not do it in one upload had to do it in several uploads.

When I got it up and running everything looked good. Everything seemed to be working.

Noticed there was no one else there. ( I normally have at least 5-->> 10 and up on all the time.
Telephone started ringing, all they see is the header and footer.

I logged out and tried logging in under another profile I have and I was the same thing, (Header and footer only)

What could have happened and how can I correct it?
Thanks

More information for you to help me with.

I belive it has something to do with the permissions.
I can log in as webmaster and everything works good.
Trying to log in as a regular member.
I can view the log-in page. Log in and then see just the header and footer.
Changed the permissions for group.
Anonymous Users, to view everything and it works good.
Group "Registered Users", everything is checked but can view nothing.
Can I edit, drop or empty some table in the database to correct this.

It seems as though the program isn't writeing to the DB for this table.
I just don't know what table to edit or if I should or have to.

Xoops is setup to do blank pages when functional or fatal errors exist. If you have a blank page you will need to debug the problem and post the results.

If you have still got admin access go to System Admin->Preferences-> General Settings.

Here you have a debug option containing various options. Now select PHP Debug and go to the blank page with the problem and copy and paste the results here..

If you also copied the files new to the server.....
Check the cache directory must have write access.
That's the only thing that hits my brain

Well, I did have admin access until just a few min ago.
Will try to get back in and do that.
What do I do if I can't get to admin?

cache 777
uploads 777
all other folders are 755
all files in root directory are 644 (includeing mainfile.php)
Could not set mainfile.php to 444. I has been working all along set to 644.

Yes, ibewtravelers.net

I am starting a fresh install in a different folder.
I am thinking that I can copy the mainfile.php to the new install to read the database and not do the install process.
Is that correct?

If your permissions were not correct you not get even partial successes, you would certainly get debug errors. A shot in the dark--have you tried clearing out template_c folder and updating your system files in system-admin-modules? Perhaps updating all your modules would be worth a shot. Check that no cache is still activated and delete cookies.

Otherwise the problem may be a database one since you reuploaded your database..hard to trace that one although their is a database debug option in general settings?
