News Module: Can I set which user groups can post?

Is it possible to allow only some user groups to post articles in the news module? I know I can set the preferences so that a webmaster has to approve an article, but can I simply prevent a registered user from posting in the first place?

In News 1.2 RC1 - yes. Find it on dev.xoops.org
