I'm trying to come up with a way to send a mailing to selected users (groups are fine) plus non registered users. Our club has events that may include non registered users. I have signup forms, sometimes a different one for anonymous users. The forms work fine. The trouble comes when I need to send updates, instructions, reminders etc.

Anyone thought of ways to include non members in the email sent? A new table with the basics like email address and a module that allows me to send a message and select core groups and users from the new table. Or even a way to manually enter additional addresses to be included.

dunno bout sending to unregistered users, u could use php list?? if that's an option

other than that an idea would be to create a group - call it mailing list..

then you could use the registration keys hack or something and set a key for that group.. that way you could get those members to register with that key and they would only be added to the mailing list group.. you could also manually add members then to that group via admin, that's 1 possibility..
