Right now, u have to be a registered and logged in user to view my "news"...how can i make it so the news is displayed to "all" users?

Log in as administrator and go to System Admin>>Groups and set proper permissions for unregistered or anonymous users to view areas of the site that want everyone to see.

Just give the Anonymous Group Module Access Rights to the News Module. Go to Sys Ad -> Groups and edit the Anonymous Group.
