Check your file structure and that xoops_version is present in the modules folder for the missing module.

EDIT

Hi pingu,

I sounds like you must be in the admin section>modules

So to determine why that message is being displayed. Look in your_site/modules directory. Any file name that is not displayed by a graphic on the admin>modules page will be the cause of this problem.

Two possible problems.
1. As Tom suggested an incorrect mod_version.php file.
or the most likely
2. When you put the module in the modules directory it was in the incorrect folder. The module must have mod_version.php in it's root directory. your_site/modules/your_module_of_interest/mod_version.php and not this.
your_site/modules/your_module_of_interest/your_module_of_interest/mod_version.php

is this case domain.com vs www .domain.com ?

Thank you for the link, phppp! I was looking a way for rendering XOOPS both with www and without www. With the hack, now it is a reality. Thanks again.

if all the time for all the modules, then it's most likely due to domain issue.
there is a patch, check the above url.

if all the time only for one single module, then it should be caused by misconfig of the module.

EDIT: if all the time only for ADMIN, I will lose myself

Re: Selected module does not exist!

Check your XOOPS database in phpmyadmin and see if there are any errors listed for your tables. It sounds to me like you could have either a database problem, or you don't have all the files for your modules uploaded correctly. Look at your files on your server and compare them with original files and check your database. If you find nothing wrong after doing this, we can look at other solutions to your problems.

You may have to try re-installing XOOPS if all else fails.
