i know absoluty nothing about themes whatsoever.
but i need to learn,
so how do i create a theme from scratch, so all mine the way i want it to be.

Have a look here,it would be a good place to start. Another way of doing themes is to modify an existing theme, bit by bit, until it looks the way you want. The phpkaox theme that comes with XOOPS is a good starting point :)Modifying the css files in a theme will change the look of a theme.

three of the best theme developers, StudioC, Incama, Denny, and myself are working together on a site www.xoopstuned.com soon to go public. this site will contain articles and tutorials on css which is very important in developing your own theme. so please stay tuned for xoopstuned.

Great, I can't wait!! Sounds very interesting. I've done a few themes myself. One is a camouflage theme that a couple of people have been asking for, but it's not finished yet... i'll have to get back to it one day.....
