I know this is simple, but cannot find how.

I'd like to display just the titles of the news / articles at the homepage, in stead of the substracts regularly shown.

Could someone enligth me please?

Thank you Karuna, but the questioon is a little diferent.

I would like the titles of the news in a block within the main page. Let me explain. If you use the news module as your homepage, then the full article is displayed at this page. This makes very long pages. I would like to display the titles (headers) of the news. i.e. in stead of displaying

[size=xx-small]"BIG news 1"
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aliquam elementum ligula vel velit. Proin porta, est ut sollicitudin congue...[/size]

--------------------------------------------------
[size=xx-small]"BIG news 2"
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aliquam elementum ligula vel velit. Proin porta, est ut sollicitudin congue...[/size]

I'd like to show:

"BIG news 1"[/b] Click here
"BIG news 2"[/b] Click here

This way the main page would be smaller

Why don't you use the "Recent News" block? This block is available through the block administration and displays the title and the date of the latest news. You can control how many articles should be shown in the config of this block.

When you write an article, go through the Administration Menu, and Post/Edit News, then use the Intro Text, and Extended Text boxes for your text. Use the Intro Text for the first paragraph or sentence, and put the rest of the article in the Extended text field. This will create a link on the News page under the intro to get to the rest of the article, and will update also update the number of times the article was accessed!
