I want to make a page and add some custome html to it, is there an easy way of doing this.

When i installed the forums or other modules, a new page is made for these, but is there a way to just make a new page without a default module for it.

Lots of ways. The core's custom block is a common way to build a front page that doesn't use a default start module. Also good for custom content within other modules. Content modules like Tinycontent and other more complicated ones give you the ability to add your own content pretty much anywhere are also available.

Others will likely offer their own favourites but my needs are met pretty well with the custom blocks, theme building, and minor template tweaking.
