1. URL Aliasing. Ability to re-mapping urls, i.e site.com/news/topic.php?id=4 -> site.com/news/music

2. Dynamic meta-keywords, descriptions, titles

3. Possibility to display new news (links, files, articles) from the moment of member last visit

4. In account preferences user can select of which categories he wants to see (and receive notifications) news, file, links and other site contnent.

5. More powerful permissions system with ability to give access not only for modules and blocks, but also to categories of modules content.

6. Opportunity to display blocks on separate pages, not only modules.

7. Multi sites feature in the core (Different sites, different content, same userbase and one login to all sites)

8. wysiswyg editor in the core

1. There are modules that do this. Look for the URL rewrite modules.

6. Is planned for the next (major) release (2.2)

7. Is a module for this, released yesterday.

About the others, they seem like good additions, but will take some work to get into the system. Hence, I can't say anything about them yet...

3. Check out BopComments module

4. Module-specific, see 5.

5. Module feature. The core has a group permissions system to use, it's up to the module developers to implement it

8. We are working on this as well as a core PDF maker class

My suggestion:
http://site.com/news/music/deep_purple

This works already! At the end of your preferences site in your administration you can select how long a module should cache its output. You can also define this for every block in its block settings.
