Hi there

Im completely new to XOOPS.

I have read the documetation on group permissions, and it is unclear to me if the permissions can relate to content.

From what I can read, the permissions relate to the total pool of modules, but not to content. So fx out of a total of 7 modules a certain group can only see 4 modules.

Example
If a school have 10 grades, can I then make content that only the specific grade can see? So 5th grade only see 5th grade content and so on.

Hope the question is clear.

Thanks

Not all modules have this implemented -yet. The wf-channel module does, however, and more modules will in the course of time. But it is possible, yes.

To add to Herko's answer, it all depends on the module use of the group permissions.

The new News module will have group permissions per usergroup on news topics for both viewing, submitting and approving news stories as an example on, how you can use it.

The core functionality is there, but it is up to the module developers to use it.
